Since 2020, Nike's private Gulfstream jet has frequently landed at Moffett Field near San Francisco, close to one of CEO John Donahoe's homes.
The jet made over 100 stops during his tenure, reflecting a significant increase in private jet travel, despite Nike's public commitment to reducing carbon emissions. This uptick contrasts with the company's stated climate goals, as the emissions from these private flights have increased by nearly 20% since 2015.
While Nike justifies the jets for essential business, their continued use undermines the company's environmental stance, revealing a disconnect between public messaging and private actions.
